~~The Assistance Inspector General of Police (AIG) East, Mr. Alfred Karrow Kamara, on Saturday 13th December, 2014, openly criticized police and military personnel at the unfinished Kenema City Council hall for not enforcing the full implementation of the presidential order in the Ebola fight.
AIG Alfred Karrow Kamara made the criticism in a general meeting held at the hall to have consultative ideas with stakeholders and other parties involved in the Ebola fight.

In other to showcase that Ebola victims and survivors should be welcomed back to society without discrimination, stakeholders in  Kenema District have welcomed 13 Ebola survivors from three sections in the Lower Bambara Chiefdom.

The stakeholders included the Mayor of Kenema, Minority Leader of Parliament, World Health Organization (WHO), World Food Programme (WFP), International Red Cross (IRC), Kenema District Ebola Taskforce and other descendants of the district.

The Chief Administrator, Mr. Daniel Momoh has through the approval of Mayor Joseph S. Keifala cleared the garbage site at the Kenema Show Field which was not cleared for several years.

In an exclusive interview with the Chief Administrator, he disclosed that he bought fuel and hired a caterpillar to clear and level the dumping site which he said was an eye-sour to the public, adding that very shortly World Food Programme (WFP) will construct food store at the cleared site.

The Kenema District Council (KDC) Chairman, Dr. Senesie Mansaray, has come under serious criticism for his alleged leadership style.

According to the sources in Kenema District, Dr. Senesie Mansaray has proved incapable of holding the office because of his acrimonious relationship with some senior officials of the council and key stakeholders of the district.
